Asparagus time: some facts
The asparagus season has now started! From now, until the end of June, this "green gold" will be widely available across the country. Fresh asparagus can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Alternatively, you can store asparagus upright in a container in a little fresh water.
Did you know that asparagus almost 'automatically' are organically grown vegetables? Because they grow underground, weeds have little chance, making pesticides almost unnecessary. Furthermore, excess manure does not benefit the taste, because the asparagus might turn bitter.
